Describe the intranet.

Private networks include intranets. As an illustration, different companies use intranets that are only accessible to their members and personnel. It is a system where several PCs within an organization (or the PCs you wish to connect) are linked to one another via intranet. Since this is a private network, nobody from the outside world is able to access it. Numerous businesses and organizations have their own intranet networks, to which only their employees and members have access. As it is a private network and does not disclose information to the public, this is also used to safeguard your data and give data security to a specific company.

Let's use the diagram below to better grasp what an intranet is:

Intranet
In this diagram, a business or organization has established its own internal private network for its operations (intranet network is under the circle). The business or organization employs numerous people (in this diagram, we have considered 3). They therefore have PCs 1, 2, and 3 for access (In the real world there are many employees as per the requirements of an organization). Additionally, they have a server on which they can store files or data, and a firewall guards this private network. The intranet server and its data are secured and protected from leakage to any unauthorized users by this firewall. The intranet is the only network that a user with access to it can utilize. Therefore, no outsiders are able to use this network. Additionally, a user of the intranet can access the internet, but a user of the internet cannot access the intranet network.
