Define Photography

Photography

Photography is a set of processes that use electromagnetic radiation or light to capture photographs of objects on different surfaces. Light is always needed in photography to reproduce the real-world image that is being captured. In order to recreate the image on photographic film, photographers utilize cameras to capture the image they require.

When they invented a very early type of a picture called a photogram, Thomas Wedgwood and Sir Humphry are credited with discovering photography. This photogram was greatly influenced by Johann Heinrich's earlier discovery that silver nitrate darkened when exposed to light.

The top 10 categories in both traditional and digital photography are landscape, aerial, portrait, sports, wildlife, family, event, fashion, architecture, and macro. Each genre of photography calls for a particular lens, lighting, and utilization of different angles.

A hobby and regular practice can be used to learn photography outside of traditional educational settings.

The rule of thirds is the most crucial photography rule. When organizing a photographic image, there are many things to take into account, but the key principle is to picture the viewfinder as being divided into nine equal blocks. In order to balance each image, photographers who adhere to the rule of thirds must position the intended image at one of the four points where the lines would intersect.
